burning over a cdrw
« on: February 26, 2004, 12:51:48 pm »

I am using MC (9.1.317).  I have a Plextor CDRW (40/12/40A).  When I want to burn a new mix of tracks onto a CDRW that currently is full, the options in the CD Burn window are supposed to provide the Erase RW disk but this option is always grayed out.   I workaround this by erasing the disk via WinXP disk tools.   Is there a way to manage CDRW burning, erasing, rewriting within MC?

thanks,
Lee

It's still that way with 10.0.78. If the disk contains data already, then Erase RW is greyed out (at least on non-MC created disks).

Thanks for your reply.

It also is greyed-out for an MC-created data disk.  Seems odd that Erase CDRW is only available when you have already erased the CD, but not when it has data to be erased!  ;)
