« on: February 28, 2004, 10:56:01 am »

Anyone using wifi to transmit MC streams to their stereo (other than TIVO)-if so what device(s). Any experience with the Barix exstreamer? All of the devices I've looked at restrict stream type or use fee type internet radio servers like Rhapsody etc. The new Onkyo uses Net-tune.Any ideas or experience ?Thanks :-\

Thanks, the Slimp3 only supports mp3 files but I hadn't seen the roku unit. Their faqs are a bit unclear about how they will handle radio streams but it looks encouraging. :)

There is another one, ShowCenter from Pinnacle. The device is hooked up to a television via S-VHS or SCART and imports all data - video, audio and photos from a PC. Data transfer occurs via either 100 Mbit/s Ethernet or WLAN. Today it only supports wireless-b. This is to slow for videos, so I use it over wireless-g bridge.
