All formats not playing on the proper zone
« on: March 01, 2004, 12:05:45 am »

I'm finding that when I play music from iTunes (m4p), or WAVs on zone 2 that is comes out of zone 1. Other formats (ape, mp3, flacc, wma) play back from zone 2 properly. Has anyone else seen this? How can I fix it?

Zone 1 is a Audio Trak Prodigy 7.1, Zone 2 is Realtek onboard audio. Both are using Direct Sound. When I try ASIO on either JRiver crashes.

I play wav-files at times, and I have never heard that. Since you use direct sound you could try wave out.

Only files played through MC's internal audio engine can be piped to different zones.

Some compressed WAV files are played with DirectX instead of MC's internal audio engine.
