Question on Media Server
« on: March 10, 2004, 04:27:51 pm »

Is there a way to modify the buffer size for the Media Server?

I stream my media over the internet from my PC at home to my PC at work and the playback is very choppy...usually pausing every 30 seconds or so to download more of the song that is actively playing.

No.  You could set up a second library though.  Import files you want to share and then convert them to a lower bitrate.  Make sure you don't remove the originals.  Do a few and check that the originals are there.

Then share the new library.  It's a setting in Media Server.
