Cannot install
« on: March 17, 2004, 02:29:39 am »

Hello, recently i formatted my HD and reinstalled the OS (w2k) with all the security patches supplied by MS Update. I have instalelled a Norton Firewall and a NOD32 antivirus. When i tried to reinstall my MJ .....it failed! Actually when i double click the process starts, but the window shortly disappear and cannot start the installation process. No error pop-ups or other warnings.I tried to disable the firewall, even though before i could install MJ while it was running, and also disable the AV but the situation dont change. Anyone has had a similar problem? I suspect it could be one of the security fixes of MS but i cannot certainly unistall them all to find where is the problem. I am willing t buy a full licence, but i cannot do that if i cant install this cool proggie. Thanks in advance :(

Hi, it didnt work, but finally........i found the way. All the installation files were in a folder inside TEMP. Clicking from there the installation could go on. Why this happened? It's tricky.I bet its something related to the sceurity patches

Clean your temp folder by doing IE/Tools/Internet Options/Temporary Internet Files/Delete files.  It may take several minutes.  This is a Windows bug.
