First , my post about some general tips is the best to use.
I cannot explain why the coming tips are working.
Just i can say they do work.
First , many cds you cannot rip , just rip fine after you do not use your computer- Or close it for the ones closing it.
First thing you do when starting the computer , or being at it : rip the cd.
The speed X0,2 from the day before is now full regular rip speed.
Second
If you put a cd under a boiling water steam and clean it with a clean soft paper[ you know what i mean..] , it may rip.
If not Secure , try Normal or ,with EAC , Busrt mode if MC still having problems.
With a SecureRip not working , you get nothing. A normal one may give you a song with only a very very short noise.
RIP TO WAV.
Like it you can edit the song if needed.
Third
Concerning CDs you cannot rip the first song.
I heard that it can be a kind of protection on the Cd.
But i have cds from 1990 up to 1995 that are not protected and first song does not rip.
They are cds with a lot of music on it.More than 70 minutes.
Kind of 'Over burned" cds.
So , here is the tip , who must work for protected CDs as well. But i do not have one , so ,i can't tell.
Install dbPower converter and the Audio Cd input pluging.
Uncheck all songs , just keep the first checked.
In Option==Standart CD player emulation , click "Audio CD Parameters"
In the popup window set 'Start Offset ' at 1000 mili seconds
Close the window and rip to wav.
VOILA.
This trick does not work in EAC .
And there is not such setting in MC.
Concerning dbPower ripper
NO SecureRip fonction.
SO........... just to use in this particular case.
