Import FLAC?
« on: March 27, 2004, 08:06:52 am »

Using V.10.0.84, and I have a bunch of files showing up as albums in my library. I think it may be because while I was learning the product, and importing some files, I did some naming of songs in the Album field. It's only on 1 album. I had later reimported the album, and got it right. But when I have a view on Album, that album shows for every song, as opposed to just the album.

When I delete the one for the song, that song gets deleted from the library.

I thought, well maybe I should just clear the library, and import it all over again. (I had not imported, but had ripped from withn MC.)

The problem is that my music is FLAC files. When I go to import, there is no listing for FLAC to import, nor any method to specify a new extension.

I will probably just delete all music associated with that album, and re-rip. But, for future reference, how would a person import FLAC music into MC?

BTW...I tried Update Library, and it bombs out the program every time. :( One of the bugs in the beta, I supose.

Flac isn't a regsitered file type for MC yet so...

Open an explorer window and go to your flac dir. Select your flacs then right click>Media Center>Import
