Hi guys,

As i was working on a new skin, i came up with a small feature that could be really nice:

Being able to define custom MediaModes.png per skins. i.e. in the main.xml file one could either enter a new MediaModes.png image or MC would automatically default to the one in the "Default Art" folder.

I think this would make a nice addition to all the skins as the default colors do not work too well with all skins.

In the following case, it is needless to say that being able to change those icons would help a lot.


Hope you like this little preview as well. Just started working on it yesterday and it's starting too look pretty good.

Let me know if that's something you'd be willing to consider in the future.

i like your idea.  i like to customize my mc skins' also and your idea would make it easier.

Well let's see what Matt and JimH have to say. That might be something they could implement in next versions.

Another way of doing it could also be that MC check whether there's a "MediaModes.png" file in the current skin folder. If there isn't, then MC would use the default art. Maybe this could be applied to all default arts.

Anyway, let's wait and see.

Awesome skin!!. I guess it is a mega-skin. I need that.

if you don't mind, my subjective opinions:
1. can u reduce the font size for media center caption in the center?
2. Apart from fluorescent green, can u think of any other color?

drb, I couldn't agree with you more for both points:
1. that temp logo is WAY too big. I want to redo it so it looks smoother and less intrusive.
2. Once I'm done with this version, i will make a few more with different colors. The first ones that come to mind are: orange and blue. I think orange will look tight. Blue... We'll see.

I guess that if i don't get an answer from the developpers, I'll also have to modify the rigth side to accomodate the 4 buttons. No biggy.
