auto resize column (old school version)
« on: March 31, 2004, 06:21:46 pm »

I know some regard this feature as trivial but I've seen some request
to have the old style of auto-resizing the column width returned to the
original style.  I feel that the new system stinks.  I feel that the
new system could be improved.  The auto-resize option makes sense only if all
the titles are visible when it is selected, and not just partially visible...
I feel that if there is a large enough group that thinks this is an important
feature which makes mc easier to use then there should at least be an option
to use the old school style or the new style.  i hope i don't get obnoxious
replies.  I'm just trying to get an option for something me and others
find important.  thank you....and i think this is one of the best software on the
market especially b/c of this forum.  great work boyz & girlz.

I like to be able not to see what I'm playing. It's like 'Name That Tune'...MC style.

its easier to find duplicates songs, with similar names that don't have
exact tags.  its also great when you have a large library of songs that
have comments that are meaningful to you.  i usually add specific descriptions
to my collection in the comment field, and i would like to see it without
having to change the column width manually.  additionally the old system
worked well for a long time without complaints.   ?, i find that to speak
volumes.

which ever way this goes media center is a really sweet program with some
unique features that i love and so do others.  i can't say enough about this
program, its nearly perfect.

I've always felt that a good solution would be to have a "maximum size" box for the column width.  This way, MC's display could be fine tuned for each users specific music selection, screen resolution, and viewing preferences.

Typos suck, but we all do it every now and then.

I'm still left with the same problem.  Can WE get auto-resizing
back to the original format?  PLEASE
