can mj still use only winamp *input* plugins?
« on: July 28, 2003, 05:25:59 am »

i am madly in love with the wincue plugin for winamp and am not willing to give it up even though mj beats the pants off every other media player out there.  i was told that mj was designed to accept winamp plugins, so i tried to make the switch... but when i tried to install wincue to the mj plugins directory, i got some error message that said it could only accept input plugins (or maybe it was output, i can't remember... in any case, i couldn't use my beloved "gen" plugin.)

(yes, i know that the "media library" search function in mj is essentially the same thing...  but i much prefer wincue because it's so light and speedy.)

so... has that changed in recent releases?  can mj now accept other types of winamp plugins as well?  if it can, i'll switch...

Not all winamp plug-ins will work.  Sounds like you found one that doesn't.
