How to add all songs to a playlist?
« on: April 13, 2004, 09:30:08 pm »

I want to create a playlist that includes all my songs.
Then I want to add an exception to the playlist to exclude the 5 second files that Griffin Technologies uses for their iTrip FM transmitter to work.  Somebody on an iPod forum suggested that I create a playlist that excludes songs from "Griffin Technologies" as the artist.

Can anyone tell me how to create a basic playlist that includes all my songs and then how to add an exclusion to the list?

I would appreciate step-by-step instructions as I am not very smart.

Thanks!

easy...

press F9 (make new smartlist)
give it a name
then under smartlist rule, choose 'audio all'
then on the right of the screen above the list of files click near where it says audio: all
right click > add rule > artist
select the artist, then choose the artist you want to exclude
then in the box that say 'do what with selection' choose exclude

thats it
