King Sparta - Chart Grabber
« on: April 21, 2004, 07:00:19 pm »

Just wondering how to get charts from the chart grabber into the chart finder. I am wanting to update my 2003 stuff, but 2003 is not included in the Chart Finder download. If KingSparta himself, or someone else out there who has done it can tell me what to do, it would be much appreciated. I have played around with exporting to excel, but I just get .xml coding and not a true spread sheet. I am sure that it can be converted, I am just unfamilar with how to do this.

Thanks,

someone needs to give me the 2002 - 2003 charts first.

I don't have them all, and i don't listen to this new fangled music anyway, so i really have no intrest in working on it.

King Sparta,

I have been able to piece together March 2003 to April 2004. I have it as a CSV file, but I am not sure how to make the merged data collumn that is in your Billboard CSV. I can email it to you, or if you can tell me how to format it I would be glad to take care of it.

I don't remember.

and i do not have the data on the server in any of the formats stated.

I need the whole year, because i created a program to read an excel data file, and then format it (it can only be done once).

JFMUS... do you have access to all of the 2004 data now?  I'd love to update my newest tracks, too... perhaps KingSparta would be willing to run it through his program.  Thanks.

I found a site to get the chart info from, and it is free.

King Sparta,

I wasn't implying that you would have to do it. Just letting them know where to find the info. If someone has the time and compiles the data, your stand alone Top Music Chart Finder program will do the trick.
