I have "MJ Plus 8.0.400" installed in Windows XP.

Problem 1.  The Media Scheduler.
In the "Settings / Options / Shell Options" menu, the "Enable Media Schedules on Window startup" would not go away.  I check it off and close the dialog box, but next time I open the same menu, the check mark is back on.  And I REALLY do not want this scheduler to be automatically started up!

Problem 2.  Opening ".wav" files.  
In the Folder menu I select "Open Media File" and point it to a 35Mb .wav track.  I waited for MJ for over 5 minutes, and it still did not start playing the track.  I've got a "WAV (PCM) version 2.0.27" plug-in. Is there something wrong with it?

Problem 3.  Converting ".wav" files to the ".wma" format.
The MJ seems not to allow converting files in the Windows folders – you have to import them into its library first.  Am I missing something?

Can you please help me with these problems?

I found out the reason for the problem I posted in this thread, where MJ took enormous amounts of time to import or to play a ".wav" track.  It rurned out that it was caused by my ".wav" files.

Originally, I had a lomg ".wav" file worth one side of a tape that I recorded using MJ.  I wanted to split it into separate songs.  Unfortunatley, the MJ's sound editor does not give me enough control where the splits will occur.   So, I had to use a third party's software which allows me to put markers in te original file, and then it splits the file in one swoop.  What I did not realize was that the tool brings into the resulting files those markers that are of non-zero length.  After I removed the markers in each of the split ".wav" files (using the same splitter), the MJ started working for me again!

It would be nice if they work on media editor a bit in MC 11

"Auto Split" would be a nice option where you can devide the file by length (seconds, %, parts, etc...)

I live in Northern Virginia in the D.C. area.

The autosplit suggested by King would be good for perfectly arranged audios.  For less perfectly timed recordings, the manual spliitter's functionality that I am using helps a lot: it  allows you to look at the wave form, and while zooming in and out, you can put markers wherever you want.  After that, at your command, the tool chops up the file into pieces.
