Playlists have disappeared
« on: July 23, 2003, 03:25:46 pm »

Hi -
Im using MJ 8.0 on a WIN 2k machine, and lately it's been crashing, saying it's generating a report.  Where can I find that report to share with you?

Second,my playlists have vanished.  I've tried to import them, but they seem to be gone.  Any advice?

thanks,

In case you haven't resolved your problem yet...

You mean a Dr. Watson report? Look here...C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\DrWatson\user.dmp. I wouldn't bother though, it is not a very human readable file and it sounds like you have an isolated case that only you can reproduce.

Best bet would be to backup your license...uninstall MJ...reboot...DL and install latest MJ...restore license. You'll lose your library (but not your media files) but it may be corrupt anyhow. In fact...that's what I would try first. Delete your library (not the media files, of course) and then use MJ>Tools>Import Media. Sure wouldn't hurt to run chkdsk and then defrag all your drives either.
