For multiple versions now (ever since I upgraded to 10 and including the current version .128) MC seems to disregard any attempt to save sort settings in playing now. I normally play files by doing a "Replace & Play" on the desired folder through explorer (but this also happens if I add files to playing now through playlists, etc). When the files first appear in playing now they are sorts apparently randomly, I can click on the column headers and force it to sort the way I want it to but as soon as I do another "Replace & Play" the headers lose the sort arrows and it goes back to random order, sort by sequence. If I go to customize current view and try to make it sort the way I want, it will let me make a new view, save it, load it, etc, but when I close the dialog it removes any sorting and goes back to by Sequence number only. If I try to load views through the right click menu, all the views load without error but only result in the sort by Sequence number (including the views that come with MC).

I've gone through the options and tried different things but nothing seems to fix it. Am I just making some sort of really stupid error? Noone else seems to be complaining about this on here...

Do you have "shuffle" turned on?

Okay, turned shuffle off (thats a really unobtrusive control btw). Loaded 2 albums from 1 artist into Playing Now. First album ordered 1-10 then 12, 11. 2nd album randomized. Right click, View, Sorting, (Any preset) still dumps it to Sequence number only. I tried doing the View, Save This View For All Locations, no change. Shuffle stays off.

Loading single albums seems to work decently now though. (the sort I apply is name, album, track).
Nope, just added another single album and it sorted it randomly (shuffle still off).

Any other options I can mess with?

Did a complete uninstall before installing the newest version and that seems to have fixed it, no clue what was originally the problem though.

I lied. If I jumble up the order of the files in playing now then select any of the sorts (from the right click menu) it just goes back to sorting by sequence order. Some albums still load randomly (.130). Pretty annoying.
