Synchronization Profiles
« on: May 17, 2004, 12:37:04 pm »

Any chance of adding support for different synchronization profiles for different handheld devices?  My wife is getting a smaller portable that has a max capacity of 1.5GB and I have a 30GB iPod.  It is a pain to keep checking and unchecking the playlists that I want to sync after she has modified what she wants synched.  Can each handheld store its own persistent "what to sync" list?

I haven't tried it, but you might be able to make two playlists, one for your wife and one for yourself.  Then drag playlists each of you want  to be used to synch into each playlist.

I would love profiles like this also. I do have different playlists for two different devices (40gb iPod, Nomad Muvo), but with the Muvo, I do on the fly conversion to WMA and with the iPod I don't. I also xfer a lot of other playlists to the iPod so I can listen to them there, and only one on the Muvo (since it doesn't really use playlists).

Sync profiles would be a great new feature.
