It is my unstanding that the YADB database in MC is built on FreeDB.

They started with FreeDB, cleaned it up & added to it & it has been growing every since.

From my understanding : no CDDB, no FreeDB  :(
YADB often stated 'No Tracks found', so, as a workaround I used another MP3-cataloger to retrieve either CDDB, or FreeDB tag-info,
managed that in MC and uploaded track info to YADB...
Have been told that in 'the good old days' of Media Jukebox there was CDDB-support, but as from v8.0.398 (11/2003) that support was removed.

Please Understand:

Yabd is a great ONLINE Database!!!

But I asked for "LOCAL" Freedb Support!!!
Iīve Downloaded the Whole Database!
With EAC I donīt have to be Online to look up CDīs!!
And I Saved all my CDīs to the Local Database.
I think thatīs a good Feature!
Would be great to include it to MC 10!!! ;D

Or Am I the only One in this Forum who is using
"Local" Freedb? ?

As far as YADB is concerned, well, I am not sure whether I agree
with you entirely. As said, with me too many times YADB reports
'no tracks-info' found.

Yes, I would also very much be in favour of local FreeDB support!
Have touched on FreeDB support many times in the past, but it
was a definite no-go. :(
(Local or non-local, personally, I don't care)
Figure FreeDB is seen as a direct competitor to YADB ... and the
door is already firmly closed after the word 'Free'... ;)
