Can't burn DRM wma even though I have a licence
« on: June 04, 2004, 05:51:41 pm »

I have a number of downloaded DRM wma files which  have a licence for 3 CD burns.  Windows Media Player thinks they are okay to burn and will try; always crashes mid-way though.  When I try to burn using Media Centre 10, it says the licence is not valid for CD burning.

Any ideas?

Did you try updating MC?

If that doesn't work, there may be a problem with the WM license.

Yes.  I've done all of the updates.

I've contacted the music supplier as well but this DRM seems a bit flaky to me.

Windows media player thinks its okay to burn or copy to a portable device. Pity it won't burn without crashing.

Musicmatch doesn't burn it properly and says it isn't licensed for portable devices.

Media Centre copies it to portable devices okay but won't burn it.
