Hi Glen,
It's at the beginning of the post.  It's a little cryptic but I'm sure her interpretation will work.  The recipe seemed to have a lot of latitude in Irene's telling of it.  If you didn't have peas, you could use corn.  If you didn't have corn, you could use potatoes, and so on.

The "peas" were actually small black beans.  You have to soak them a while before you cook them.
