I think this poll would fall under the "non scientific" variety. ;D

WinAmp (2.91) all the way, baby! ...

I also think that the Ford Pinto was the best engineered car ever (the gas tank design and location was ingenious!).

Can you really count WinAmp as a Media jukebox?
Surely it doesn't do much beyond play MP3s?

That, my friend, sounds like an interesting read...

Of course I'm a MC finatic...but WinAmp is as much of a jukebox (and multimedia player) as MC is. It plays all audio & video (via DirectShow) that I've run across.

there was nothing wrong with the pinto

it just had a bad big ass jaged bolt that was poking that gas tank.

i had one, the last year that big bolt was removed, but no one would buy them.

the Pony was the same car BTW

But not pictures, surely?

I also thought it only had a rudimentary database for the jukebox functionality, and was more just playlist based...

There's this totally cool jukebox at the duckpin bowling alley down the road. Retro right down to the selection, it's easily the best jukebox I ever tried!

"None of the above" means, you dont have to choose a program from the list if you believe there is a better jukebox program out there. There are more jukeboxes out there however, I dont know which ones they are  ;D

Look like you do not know much about jukebox out.
Jukebox or media player first?

They are mixed in your list.

WinAmp do play more than music.

As a player , my vote is FooBar.
As a media player, organisator , tager my vote is MC9 by VERY VERY far

Zevele,

I agree.  For just a simple player foobar2000 takes the prize.  *Very* small, fast, natively supports proper replay gain (both track and album).  Sound quality is exceptional.  No bells and whistles for the most part, but completely configurable (lots of plugins are available as I have just learned).

As for media organizer, MC wins hands down.

You know Guy's I wanted to see what foobar was about so I installed it  and I did not  think it was all that  I liked Itunes ,winamp, mmjb better . To Me Media Center sounds better  it has a cleaner sound if thats possible and it can do what ever I need it to

You must have forgotten about the Pacer!  Certainly the most impressive vehicle American ingenuity has ever produced.

As Paulr said
As a player.

I do not need to have MC eating my CPU just to listen to music.
Sound is better not because FooBar better . Just because , depending of your soundcard , you have more settings in FooBar to get the most of it than in MC.
But if you play songs with default settings on , both have the same sound.
Beside this Album Gain and real gapless are things i care about.

Anyway ,in my mind i do not oppose the 2 .
I just use both.

They are both ages away from all the mongo MusicMatch-Itunes-Real world

Is this biased or what... ?

This is like asking a Texan what is the best state; we already know what he is going to say.

If the same question was asked of Real users the votes would be for Real, the same for MusicMatch, & etc.

If asking anyone what is the best car; they will often say the one they own is the best.

Few people really are going to admit that there is a better product then the one they own.  We all like to think we have the best no matter what the brand is.  It's human nature.

Now hold on there, Babalooie!!
I had a Pacer. It was a wonderful car. I wish I still had it. The outward visibility and inside room was excellent for a car that size.

Itunes froze my PC so, I was unable to use it so, I was unable to add it to the list.
