Registration problem
« on: June 24, 2004, 01:27:47 pm »

I purchased MJ this morining.  It installed ok on my first machine including entering the registration code.  I then installed MJ on a second machine and it refuses to accept any type of registration.  I tried the using the emailed (to me) Media-Juke...mjr file and MJ says error ionstalling...failed extracitng from file message. The web site says it can't find that licenseand the web site says m,y emial is invlaid if I try going theat route.

Should be fixed now (and you should have received a license in e-mail).
Thanks for finding that.

This was related only to the new Paypal payment option we added.

Thanks again.

I think I understand: you are entering your e-mail address on the restore page. This isn't right: enter the long code on that page (use copy-and-paste, don't try to type it).

Check your system clock on the second computer, make sure it is correct.

There is a FAQ here:
www.mediajukebox.com/license

Hi,

I have read the license faq - no help.

I have used the code provided using cut and paste. It is in the form of ???-???-???-???-???-??? (I substituted the? for the actual letters to protect the code).  MJ says it is invalid.

The date and time is correct.

Your restore system says my email address is not in the system if I try that option.

If I use the file that was emailed to me, mj displays the message "Error installing media jukebox license. Failed extracting license from file."

Is the version of MJ up to date?  Please copy your system info from MJ Help and paste it here.

Are you using IE to restore your license?

I've got a similar problem.  OS is XP, using IE,  clock is correct, downloaded and re-installed MJ8, read the FAQ, pasted the key into your registration form, etc..

Keep getting a a window that says:  "Error installing Media Jukebox license.  Failed opening license file."

What's next?

Thanks.
