Is it possible to do something like you have in CD players - to play only 10 seconds from the start of every song?

Download and Run PartySampler plug in, you can set it for the duration of time you want.

you can set it from 5 seconds to 1 min

it also will display cover art if you have any for that file

all files must be in playing now that you want it to play
