"illegal mode for this track"
« on: July 06, 2004, 07:08:52 am »

Every time I've tried to burn a cd with MJ9, the process stops halfway to three-quarters of the way through, and gives me the message: "illegal mode for this track".   I've never encountered this error with MJ8.  The burn was using mp3 files, so I then converted the mp3's to wav files to no avail, then lowered the burn speed from 8x to 6x, with no resolution either.  In test mode, everything went well.  The tracks were legally downloaded from emusic.com.  Is MJ9 policing itself?  I haven't used ITunes for the pc yet, is this a better alternative?

The particulars: WindowsXP, 1Ghz Athalon processor, 512mb RAM.
