ID3 "Mood" Tags: what are you using ?
« on: July 06, 2004, 10:55:07 am »

I am well on my way of organizing all my MP3 and APE files.  However, listening simply according to genre is not flexible enough...

If you use the mood tag, I would like to benefit from your experience.  What tag values have you defined ?

Also, what genre are you using ?

Thank you !

50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000+

I know that's not much help but it's true!  I migrated from MMJB where you couldn't have custom fields so I used the mood tag for decade. Still, you could say it's appropriate. Sometimes I'm in the mood for 80's, sometimes present day and never 50's.   :D

But now in MC it would be redundant as you could have a smartlist that worked on a decade range using the yr tag.

As far as moods go, a combo of genre+BPM might be interesting.

I believe ATagger (available in the 3rd party forum) can get you the tones automatically.
