rio Karma support
« on: July 13, 2004, 09:48:10 pm »

Long time nobody posts anything about this...
Is there any hope of having a plugin for MC10? or MC11?

Thanks,

I hope so!

I have it in mind for my next portable. In the meantime, doesn't it look like another hard drive (via USB2 port or Ethernet dock station)? ... or is the Karma software the only way to access it?

We are not having any cooperation from Rio. Our option is to purchase a Karma and figure out a way to add playlist support which appears to be all we are missing.  When I get the green light on this I will implement it asap.

Well, I think they have an open source library to talk to the Karma, don't they?
And don't tell me that you do not have a rio karma yet after about 100 posts requesting the plugin :D

Heck, I can send you mine for a couple of weeks if that makes things faster!

Not sure what you mean, the Rio Karma supports playlists.  There are numerous programs out there that support the Karma and support creation and adding of playlists.

There is a java library from Karma, I have a program called Riorad Explorer that supports accessing all aspects of the Rio.  Looks like they use a DLL that may be their own.

Thanks,
