MJ won't play mp3 when double clicked
« on: July 13, 2004, 06:54:00 am »

I have set MJ as my default player but when I double click an MP3 file in windows explorer, MJ launches but I get a box saying "this file is not a valid license for media Jukebox 8.0"
I'm using ver 8.0.396 and win XP. ?

I don't know what the problem is, but please try updating MJ.

This is also happening to me when I try to play *.mid files by double-clicking them.  I can play them if I "Open" them from inside MJ.  I am using MEDIA JUKEBOX PLUS 8.0.400

Try this:

Go into your Windows Media Player.

Under Tools -> Options select: "Privacy"

On the "Privacy" tab, under Enhanced Playback Experience:

Make sure the box next to "Acquire licenses automatically for protected content" is Unchecked.

Worked for me!
