Help...I have purchased V 9.0 and want to upgrade to 10.

I already upgraded to 9.1 a year ago.  I downloaded V l0 to use for one month.  I want to upgrade for $9.98 but am told I have version 8.  I do not..help!!

I am using Jukebox Plus.  When a new update is available, are we just supposed to download it to the same folder as the old one, or remove the old one first.
I had version 8.0.348 and downloaded the new update 8.0.356 to a different folder...which I will fix if I did it wrong.  
I just saw that version 8.0.360 is available.  Is this for Plus?  If it is, my software will not upgrade to it.

You had MJ 8 already in september 2002, so you are entitled to use MC 9.x for free with your MJ 8 license. It is still only a version 8 license.

Did you actually spend money when you upgraded from MJ 8 to MC 9?
I had a MJ 8 license and got the free upgrade to MC 9. But my license was still for MJ 8.

So when I now upgraded to MC 10 I paid $ 14.98. And I am happy with that.  ;D

Thank you.....that is probably what happened to me.  I checked back on my bank account and could fine no payment.

So I will upgrade with the price required.

I could not get into media center at all.  I went to the restore page and downloaded one restore for V8, which is what I was told I had even though I was using 9.  I cannot open media center...I receive a message "media core has encountered a problem & needs to close" and it does.  Should I uninstall media center completely and do another restore?  I do not want to use up my restores.  I just want to upgrade to V10 for $14.98.  HELP!!!

So you restored a MJ 8 license to MJ 10. There was no need for that.
You should have done this:

1. You have a licensed MJ 8
2. You install MC 9.x (free upgrade)
3. You install MC 10 trial
4. You press buy button inside MC 10 help and go on.

You could try to uninstall and install MJ 8, MC9 or MC10 again. When you uninstall you don't loose you license info. It is in the system. So no restore is needed. Unless it is broken now...

Maybe it is better that you wait until someone from JRiver helps you out.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling.  This won't require a restore.

Thank you all very much. I uninstalled the complete Media Center I had that would not work.   I reinstalled 8, 9 and 10 and then hit Buy.  I now have Media Center 10 up and running :D

My next step is to learn the program!!

I am sorry I posted to the different boards.  I first went to Jukebox, but then thought I belonged in Media Jukebox.  Thanks again for the help, I had no idea it would be so fast  :)
