Purchase Issue
« on: August 08, 2004, 06:48:48 am »

When I click Buy in Help I get a "Failed to initiate Media Center purchase" message. It could easily be a problem with IE, but I was wondering if all I need is the purchase link to manually get around this.

Thanks.

What version of MC are you using?  Did you try updating your program?

I'm using 10.0.155. It said there were no updates available, although I know I've seen later versions mentioned here...

That should be OK.  Can you try switching your default browser to IE?

That must be the cause, because I've been having a lot of problems with security over the last month. My Norton Security basically died last month, and I've been meaning to get the 2004, but work's getting in the way. Is there anyway around it until I do, if that is the reason for the problem?

Try turning off your Norton security and download, then turn Norton back on.

Actually, it's uninstalled now. It wouldn't re-intall at one point, almost like the original disk was corrupt, so I'm going without it. Not an ideal thing to be doing, I know. ::)
