Why am I getting Last played info like "37.2 years ago"?  Just upgraded to 10.0.157.

I have the same last played 37 years ago.

I think it is something to do with 1970 and MC using that as a last played date when a track hasn't been played.

Would be nice if it was fixed - bug has been around forever.

I can't believe so few people care that "last played" is so dysfunctional.   That makes several of the canned playlist rules questionable in their performance.

How hard can it be to fix that?  Every time I clear out the column and revert to never played this comes back.

I just checked my library and added the Last Played field to my view.  In MC 11 at least, I don't see anything out of the ordinary.  Some of the more recent albums I have ripped simply say "never played".  Everything else is what I'd expect it to be.

Did this get changed in 11, or is something else going on?

By the way, how much longer before it's safe to try MC11?  I'm not the early adopter I used to be.

11 is pretty stable for the most part. I haven't come across any real bad spots.

just make sure you backup your library.

I've come across all examples in my library for last played i.e. sensible values, never played and stupid values like xxx years ago.  I've found that it's quite reliable to use last played in view schemes to exclude recently played tracks but I wouldn't use it for anything else.

MC should say "never played" if you've never played the song.

I have thousands of tracks which say last played 36.4 years ago.  I also have many tracks which say never played.

I first noticed this bug when I went from Media Jukebox to MC 9.

Last Played in a pane view produces the same set of files whether you click never played or played 36.4 years ago.
