new pc tried to restore library but paths screwed up???
« on: August 16, 2004, 01:39:38 pm »

I got a new pc and upgraded to MC10 from 9 since 9 was no longer avaiable.  I installed it and restored my libary but it can't find any of my music because the new drive letter is different.  I need my play lists or else I would just do a search for the music.

How do I get my old stuff back it is all on the hard drive I pulled the actuall drive and it is in the new pc just the drive letter is screwed up.

Jason,

Assuming that your library points to files in F: and they actually reside on G: just perform a "find and replace" action.

Tools -> Library Tools -> Find and replace

Tick the checkbox "Filename" only and perform a Find "F:" and replace by "G:"

You may want to try with a few files first and see if it works. It should.

Hope it helps
