Ripping in Ape always imports to the database...
« on: September 04, 2004, 07:56:35 am »

Is there a setting that will prevent MC 11 from automatically importing .ape files when I rip a cd?

I can't seem to find it....

Thanks.

It's part of my backup process. When I rip a new CD, I rip it to a different folder (MyApes). There I do all of my tagging and run all your plugins, etc. When I'm happy with the rip and tagging, I copy all the files to my "MyMusic" folder and import into MC's database.

Once in a while, when the "MyApes" folder get full enough, I copy it all to DVD and then erase it's content off my HD. I have a seperate MC library called "MyApes" where I catalog all of these backup DVDs.

I could do that. Didn't really think about it.

Thanks.
