Associations broken
« on: September 08, 2004, 05:26:03 pm »

If I click on an MP3 in Windows Explorer or MSN Messenger, MC10 starts up but the file doesn't play.  I have to manually drag 'n' drop the file into Playing Now to get it to start.

If I right-click on the file in Windows Explorer, select Media Center and then Play, MC10 starts up and the file plays correctly.

This used to work.  How do I fix things so that I can double-click a file and play it within MC?  I've tried setting the File Type association within Explorer, and the File Association within the MC Options menu - both are set correctly but still the file will not play.

Thought I'd bump this (if the mods don't mind) as I'm still having the same problem.

If I double-click an MP3 within Windows Explorer, MC opens but the MP3 doesn't start playing.

This is on MC10.  I've tried reinstalling without any success.

Did you try updating MC?  10.0.161 is in a thread here.

I'm already using 10.0.161, and have been for a while now.
