Converting file formats
« on: September 14, 2004, 05:37:36 am »

I have Media Jukebox 8.0.40. Plus.  I have imported several .WMA songs and want to convert them to MP3.  I have already downloaded the MP3 plug-ins.  When I ask MJ to convert from WMA to MP3, it says "Failed to convert".  What am I doing wrong.?

Just a guess ... it's been so long since using MJ8.

Could it be the WMA files are a particular version newer than MJ, that at the time MJ didn't support (e.g., lossless WMA, VBR WMA, ...)

Protected WMA files can't be converted.

If they are unprotected, MediaCenter may be able to convert them.

There is a 30 day trial version you can try.
