Proposal: Lifetime license

In another thread ("How to upgrade to Ver. 11") I have been reporting on my frustration at trying to upgrade from MC 9 to MC 11 at the special upgrade price.

Here's a suggestion: How about offering a "Lifetime license" that never has to be upgraded. The price could be, say, 50 dollars for first-time users, and 25 to 35 dollars for current users. This would not only bring in some front-loaded revenue to J River, but would also cut down on the frustration of us busy users exerting so much effort on a simple thing like an upgrade.

Its been suggested before, and recently. Who knows, but my totally-not-a-JRiver-spokesperson feeling is that it will not happen.

Both the 9-to-10 and 10-to-11 upgrades were $10, right?  So even a five-year-license at $30 is probably close to a wash.
