Converting from WAV>APE>WAV - lossless?
« on: September 25, 2004, 10:34:36 am »

I have my music collection in MC10 in the APE format. If I want to convert: WAV>APE>WAV, is this process truly lossless?

It should be (I think it must be but I let Matt confirm this) as whatever you decompress from APE should be exactly the same as it was orginally. You check this by using CRC check if you really want to double confirm it.

It is, I remember seeing a thread where ape was in dispute... Matt proved that ape is truly lossless.
