Update encoders?

I have a question about encoders. I use both ogg and flac and they are implemented via plugins. I noticed that both encoders have been updated recently so how can I ensure that MC is using the updated encoders. Is there a way to manually update the encoders that MC uses?

New Flac out today is 1.11a
