yup, Google is simply amazing!!  Was hollering along to that tune just moments ago.
Got a song stuck in your head, but only know a few words??, Google it and then you can find the entire thing and really drive yourself mad  " suddenly the sun broke thru, turned around and she wasn't there"  ;D

And by the way, Pip, the new avatar..the great mouse detective, nice.  Bet

How could I have forgotten Stuart?!!  :o

Of course, googling "pipsqueak" gives some interesting options:  a type of Whippet, a book about a nutty squirrel by Brian M. Wipned and of course a sequence-specific DNA binding protein....Hummm  ... no to mention that it is my eldest daughters childhood nickname that she'd love us not to mention to her new boyfriend.....Hummmm...  I think I can work it into the conversation when she brings him to Thanksgiving dinner this week end (michevious grin spreading over face), I wonder where I put that baby book.... . ;D

' gamer's right..that mouse was hilarious!    ;D  And it did cause a stir, but what's wrong with a little rabble rousing once in awhile?

Anyone have an idea on this one? ...

" .... Watching my life go down " is a re-occurring choral verse (male) of a song I heard on a R&B station in the late 90's. The lead was female. I only heard it a few times and have been searchin the web ever since then trying to figure out the artist - song title.

In all likelihood... it's "Full of Smoke" by Christion.

Quote
Full Of Smoke

And so the hustlers continue to hustle
And the players continue to play

I'm a man today, can't nobody tell me nothing
Got a hold on life
Taking today, my day, being strong
Know just where I'm going to
As I get higher and higher
Dreams grow, visions flow by
This is as good as it gets, as I
Take another hit, suga
I can't stop, I won't stop

Chorus:
Cause I'm too cool
And what they say is true
Ooo, I'm full of smoke
Cause I'm too cool
And what they say is true
Ooo, I'm full of smoke
Watching my life go down
Watching my life go down
Watching my life go down
Watching my life go down

Another day
Time just passes by me slowly
But I'm alright, you'll see
Faces in places, catching different cases
Surround us, it's glorifying
Same situation, nothing ever changes
Just being a bonified, Hustler
Hustler baby (hustler baby)
From day to night
Business is as good as it gets
As I, take another hit, honey
I won't stop, I won't stop

{Chorus}

Down, down, down
I'm a man today
Can't tell me nothing

{Chorus} (repeat til end)

Good song but alas...it's not it (thanks tho). The one I'm thinking of had a female voice in it...similar in style to Beyonce's vocals in "Me & my Girlfriend". I may have heard it only once...but the affirmities of old age haven't affected my noodle (yet), so I'm sure it's not Christion.

Mid to late 90's. It's the last piece of my musical puzzle.

2nd to last piece (from mid 80's college days) was an album by the Nuns (Rumania) that a friend had. Doubted I would ever find the album (been out of print forever...and was never released on CD). Found a (still) shrink wrapped cutout copy at an online album store which I bought for $40.
