interaction with wireless PDA
« on: October 11, 2004, 03:57:34 am »

Hope this is the right forum to ask this question.

Really a great piece of software (v10) for my audio server.

(1) Will Media Center work on one of the latest PDAs running windows?

No need for all the functionalities, but running the CD player per WIFI and displaying the album image and track details would be great.

(2) Also, ideally, I'd like to have a list of all my albums on the PDA so that I can browse it for instance when CD shoping (with pictures as an added mega bonus!).

There are two third party solutions for what I think you want:

NetRemote
http://www.promixis.com/

MusicLobby
http://www.cinemaronline.com/

Both can control Media Center running on a PC wirelessly.

You could run RemoteServer in MC and then use a browser on a Palm to have similar control.  It just isn't as pretty.

Wireless solutions for Palm seem to be more scarce.
