iPOD Playlist Problems: contains wrong songs!

When syncing my iPod playlists it always syncs the same but wrong songs.
My iPod Playlists contain the right number of songs but not the songs that are in my computer's playlist. Does anybody have a clue why?

Are these playlists or smartlists? If smartlists, do they have any dynamic rules?

They are playlists. I haven't used smartlists yet...

Are the songs totally different, or tracks with the same tag information but different songs (the same Name, Artist, Album, and Genre)?

Do you have multiple playlists in MC with the same name but in different groups?

They are totally different. Most of them from the same (but wrong) artist. The names of my playlists don't have the same name. I just started everything new but now my old playlists are gone. I guess I'll start using smartlists. (do they have a "recently imported" rule?)

I do not think it is a playlist vs smartlist issue. Have you been going back and forth between another application and ours (i.e. iTunes)? If you can, can you delete your plalylists and start clean? Also, what version of MC are you running as this would make a difference. How are you getting the playlists onto iPod, synchronization?

OK, I am only using Media Jukebox. I deleted all my iPod playlists and tried a sync but for whatever reason exactly the same (wrong) songs ended up in my iPod playlists. That's basically why I started all over with my Media Library and deleted every playlist. I am using v.9.1.291. Updates don't work (failed to connect to a server), although they work on my Laptop. Any idea?
After my 2nd attempt, the songs appear quieter than before. Does this maybe have to do with the replay gain settings? Thanks for you help!

For iPod support I would strongly encourage you to download MC 11 or at a minimum MC 10. In regards to the quieter songs, this could be related to Replay Gain if you have that option selected.

10.0173 is available or 11.0.106.  11.0.106 may still have some kinks to be worked out. Both are available as free trialware for 30 days.
