During the last versions some new fields have been added to MC. Is there somewhere a description what these fields are good for?

- Playback range
- Acess rating
- Album gain

Access Rating can be used for the Access Control feaure... I guess they were using stuff like G, PG, R, etc.

Not sure on the other ones (don't get around much) and I suppose they're used for playback.

Playback Range is used with CUE sheet based library tracks. It points to a specific range inside the main audio file. More about CUE in this thread: Cue file Support in MC 11.

Album Gain is calculated from the Replay Gain results. There is an option for using it in DSP Studio -> Replay Gain -> Mode.

Yes, it would be useful to have some list with all the meanings of the MC11 tags and their intended usage.

Some examples: Comment, Notes, Text?

What's the difference of those 3 fields and how are they used by others or intended to be used

Some others I am wondering for what purpose they are there such as Content Distributor, Content ID, Content Type, Preferences,  Situation?

I only use Comment field. In that field I have suff like
- "Original: Beatles" in case it is a cover song
- "Sixth version" if I have 6 different versions on ther same song by same artist
- "Compare with song X by artist Y" if some other song is similar, but with a different name
- basically any note meant for myuself
