Adding files to Playing Now from Theatre View
« on: October 25, 2004, 05:37:19 am »

Hi there. Some MC 11 Theatre View Questions please...

1. What's the easiest way to add individual files to Playing Now from Theatre View? It seems a bit more tedious than it was in MC 10; ie, "Enter" to select tracks and then "Enqueue". When I select "Add" from the context menu, MC adds the entire album to Playing Now rather than just the individual song.

2. Also, is there a way to clear Playing Now from Theatre View? A hot key sequence or smartlist would do. I think that would be a great feature if it isn't already there.

Thanks heaps for a great product!!

You're right -- that doesn't make sense for "Add."  We'll change it.  (remind us if we forget)

Playing something else is the easiest way.

Thanks.

Unless you have "add" to playing now rather than "replace" enabled  :)

Thanks for the prompt response to the other problem. Look forward to trying it out!

Selecting "Play" for a single music file from the context menu in Theatre View also adds the whole album to Playing Now. Is this what it's supposed to do?

By the way, "Add" works fine now (build 113).

Selecting a song and then choosing "Play Selection" is ok though. Would still be nice (and make more sense) if "Play" would work as it does by right clicking and playing a file in Standard View, ie, this does NOT add the entire album to Playing Now.

Thanks.

Yes, that's by design.

This way, if you find a file you like and hit the play button, you won't hear the same song over and over.

MC's standard view works this way be default as well.
