I used a restore today which was the second time this year. My restore count in June was 9. My restore today says 3 left. In addition my forum password did not work. Why?

No idea on the password.  It's case sensitive.

On restores, someone else may be using them.  We've had a couple of instances of children in the family sharing with friends.

Thanks, No children or other users here. I should be ok because my restore was due to an XP reinstall. I am curious though as to when they reset for a new year. Is it Jan 1?

I just checked my purchase date and it was 7/26/03. In that case on 7/26/04 my restores should have reset to 10. As of now I used 1 (10/30/04)but it showed I have 3 left. Who or where can I get this corrected?

Restores are not reset to zero on the anniversary of the purchase. Instead, you are limited to 10 restores in a year period.

When you ask for a restore, the system checks how many times you have restored in the previous year (the previous 365 days in fact, so you get a bonus during leap years) and if it is less than 10, gives you a restore.

So, the three that you used on December 10th  2003 will drop off your record on Dec 10th this year, and you'll then have 6 available.

OK Thanks, That makes sense now. I thought someone might have stolen them somehow, but not the case.
