Importing playlists

How do I import a playlist that I have saved to a disc from another computer. All the help programme gives is advice on exporting.

The handling of playlists is a continuing problem with little or no real guidance in the help systems.  Every time I upgrade I lose some or all of my playlists because I ASSUME that they will be retained and transferred when the old program is uninstalled and the latest version is installed.

It seems that MC/MJ keeps the playlists in a proprietary format in the 'install' folder rather than treating them as conventional Windows data...this has plagued me for several years and is serious flaw in an otherwise great music management suite.

At a minimum, correct handling of existing playlists when upgrading should be at the top of a FAQ somewhere.
