My setup has been just flawless to date(Alienware with Creative Audigy).  Playing CDs in both my DVD and CD players are fine when using RealOne Player, Windows Media Player and Creative Play Center.  However, the intermittant static (almost buzzing) is present ONLY with Media Jukebox Plus which I just purchased and installed this week.

Kill RealOne...you won't need it. For Real audio files & streams it's best to use RealPlayer (look for recent posts on this).

WMP...what version? (v7.1 and lower are OK, v9 beta will screw up any system, and if it's installed...CAREFULLY remove).

Whole point is to simplify your system because there is some kind of interaction going on between programs (that happens ).

Look for latest Creative drivers.

MJ is all you'll need. I guarantee that.
