media center 10.155 - a media editor question
« on: November 24, 2004, 06:44:13 pm »

Is it possible to specify how much compression you want when you use the dynamic range "boost?"  (Which, to me, seems a misnomer, since you are actually degrading the dynamic range, not boosting it.)

Thanks!

Media Editor Basicly Has Not Changed Since MJ6 and maybe prior

it could be a good tool if a bit more work was done to it.

even if there was a "media editor Plus"

I thought the dynamic range compression thingy was pretty cool, but I think it's a bit aggressive.  The resulting sound is a bit artificial sounding, where soft things like reverb get boosted a bit too much, sometimes making the singer sound like they are singing in a shower stall.  ;)
