Space between tracks a mystery
« on: December 01, 2004, 01:14:53 pm »

Greetings All.  I've noticed that on several CDs I've burned recently the space between the tracks occurs before the song is ended.  In other words, if I select track three to listen to, I get the tail end of track two as part of track three.  I have the space between tracks set to 9s and have no idea what that means - I know it couldn't mean seconds.  Would that be the problem?  Thanks.

9s means "9 seconds" so try changing that.  Also, make sure you're using the latest MC 10. (or even better, MC 11)

That's got to be it then.  I'll change it right away.  Thanks Matt.

I just reset the gap to 2s and went to burn a CD.  I checked back again to make sure the gap was still set at 2 and it had jumped to 5.  All by itself.  Do you have any idea why this is happening?  Thanks.

Again, make sure you're using the latest version.  It may be worth trying MC 11 if you haven't.

I've got MC10 and don't want to get MC11.  But that doesn't solve the problem.  There's got to be some setting I have wrong.  Thanks again.

What build do you have?  You can copy your system info from MC Help and paste it here.

There is a later version available. Install that and see if your problem goes away. I no longer have MC 10 installed so I can't say for certain.

I checked for update and there was a newer version of the MP3 Encoder available.  When I installed it I got an error message saying my Windows Package Installer failed.  I checked google for some fix but didn't find any.  Could you help me with this?  Thanks. And Merry Christmas everyone - everone, that is, except Bill Gates.

Version 10.0.173  is available here. Also, make sure you have your playback options are set to "Gapless" playback.

Forgot to ask.  Can I download the newer version right on top of the old one?
