Possible to start from command line?
« on: December 17, 2004, 07:59:46 am »

Hi,

I'd like to make a shortcut (batch) which starts MC and instantly start playing full screen my photo's, which are located on my s:\drive.

Is it possible to do this?
If yes: how?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, EdBro,

my line would be mjextman.exe /Play TREEPATH=lijsten\foto's

But now I want this command to include the option to really show these photo's fullscreen as a slideshow.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again.

Starting it from Girder, of course!  ;D Then you can make MC do just about anything (perhaps except for making coffee, they're working on that bug...).

You might explore the startup options in MC.

Yeah, Jim, that was the first thing I tried.
Doesn't work for me:
full screen is OK, but it always starts with playing music (the song that was playing the last time I used it before restarting it) and the thing I get full screen is the display plugin I used then too.
It does jump to the location I mention in the options/startup-section, but that's not what I want.

I just want MC to start a slideshow of all photo's I have.

Do I miss something?

Thanks again

mjextman.exe /Play Treepath="Media Library\Images" will start playback.

mjextman.exe /MCC xxxx will allow you to set the mode, zone, etc.  Check the DevZone for more information on MCC commands.
