v11 CD burns at > +100db ?

CD burning Trouble.  As you can see from the image, MC is trying to burn at well over 100db gain.  The trouble does not go away by turning off replay gain.  The trouble does not go away if I select NONE for the db adjustment value.  And the 100db never seems to change.

I have this trouble with burning only wav files, and also using mixes of ape and/or mp3 files.

The resulting cd is unlistenable!  It's very loud and distorted (of course at those levels).

Burning with Nero results in perfect results, on the same files that cause MC trouble.  Again, I've used wav files and combos of ape and mp3 files, letting Nero convert on the fly to wav for burning.

Anyone got the same trouble?  Anyone got any ideas?

I did not have this trouble a few weeks ago, but can't remember what version of MC was working and which stopped working.  This version and the prior version has this trouble.

Do you have the same problem if you turn Replay Gain off for the burn?

Matt, yes if I turn off replay gain for the burn, then it burns okay, but still has weird numbers in the dialog box.  So it seems like using replay gain for burning is the problem.  I had just turned it on a little while ago, and missed the connection, thanks for the troubleshooting connection.

The bad news is that I restored from an image backup to 11.3xxxx something and the problem was there too.  I restored back to the current 11.46 and same thing, good without replay gain burning and bad with it.

Can anyone else recreate this problem?

Are all the files in the burn analyzed?

What range of values are you seeing in the "Replay Gain" column for the files you're burning?

7.8 to 15.6 on one burn that failed.  But this happens with all the burns I tried on different sets of data.

And yes all files were analyzed.

Has a solution been found for this problem?  Any time I try to use Replay Gain when I burn a CD, the gain is set at +100.0 dB.  This only happens in v11, burning in v10 works fine.

Thanks,
Pete

I'm still not sure what happened, but I uninstalled v11 and re-installed.  After that, I was able to burn using Replay Gain.
