Ripping hangs in MC11
« on: December 09, 2004, 08:09:04 am »

Anyone else having trouble with ripping? I'm ripping in secure mode, and encoding to MP3 VBR Custom (-alt preset extreme). The first track begins to rip, and then it just seems to hang, the drive spins down, and there's no encoding or nuthin'. I've had this problem since build .140.

Hmmm, I think it might have been my LAME arguments that were throwing MC off. I changed the settings to VBR, Extreme, and bagged the custom settings and it seems to be working now.

Also the old "--alt-preset" settings should work if they are written correctly. (E.g. --alt-preset extreme ).
They are directly mapped with the "--preset" and "-V n" settings in the current LAME encoder.
