no sound

The sound slider moves, but there is no Sound.  This happens quite frequently.  Nothing I do seems to fix the problem.  The sound seems to come and go at will.  Where can the problem be????  Please help.

It sounds like the driver for the sound card may be getting stepped on by something.  Try updating the sound card driver.

How do you "move" the "colored speaker" on the left margin of the "big window"??? It is stuck on a file and will not move.  Sorry but you noticed I am not MJ literate.
